Improving the health, educational attainment, human welfare & opportunities for youth & women in Southern Africa & Beyond.
OVERALL GOALS
Educate, empower & encourage. Provide a template for businesses that induce self sufficiency, wellness & sustainability. Teach groups to grow their own produce to use for wellness retreats plus feed themselves.

HISTORY
Formed in 2017 after employment opportunities arose at Mamoyo Retreats & Wellness Spa. After thinking about how we could go beyond simply employing a few therapists but train the previously disadvantaged to be therapists & business people. We were already in the process of developing 2 self sufficient micro communities & decided to expand on the concept. Copy, paste & improve worldwide.
CURRENT PROGRAMS, ACTIVITIES & ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Wellness therapy classes: helps build strong skills, vocational abilities & provides a positive community. 25-30 a year attend classes to administer therapies. Learn on the job.
Tourism & Hospitality classes: to low-income & poor residents in selected communities. As the training is hands on, in an existing establishment. The student will learn with real customers, real tourists in a real business.
Green living classes: provides youth education on living in a sustainable manner, natural products, renewable energy, recycling, green eating/construction/energy, organic products & education on conscious consumption.
Life skills & business classes: will work with experienced mentors & trainers.
Other Activities: organic farming to produce their own spa products, yoga, pilates, meditation, culinary training, hiking, camping, exchange programs with other countries +

PURPOSE OF GRANTS & FUNDING
regions we work with have educated communities that lack the necessary skills or confidence to enter into self employment.
there are very little employment opportunities especially in rural areas, we will change that.
there is a huge over population problem in city centers, our programs are designed to make rural & out of town area more attractive especially to the youth.
women we cater to need a mere seed & a little tending to to produce amazing results. Some are victims of trauma & we aim to keep them on a safe path.
to address gender inequality. Our projects aim to empower women & to try insulate them from the harsh society & keep them away from vulnerable or desperate situations.
HIV is still a major issue. We aim to aid in prevention (curbing prostitution from youth by offering alternative businesses), spread by & give those living with the virus to have a way of empowering & sustaining their livelihood.

x4 camping facilities - 80 campers capacity,
x14 villas/huts - 28 guest capacity, x2 restaurants
x5 hostels & learning centres - 50 apprentice capacity
Fully capacity weekends - 108 guests & 50 Apprentices
GOAL 2. To provide activities designed to curtail the risks affected by youth & women. To assist individuals in developing a plan for a healthy & successful lives. OBJECTIVE 2. A range of programs such as yoga, online learning, gardening, hiking, pilates, soccer, tennis, aerobics, running, mentors, speakers, walking, & meditation.

Wellness therapy training: In-treatment classes, online classes, theory classes,
video classes, other retreat visits to experience the therapies first hand,
hotel stays - training through personal experience, virtual libraries,
tours & field trips, get 1st h& tourism experience, natural products introduction,
renewable energy education, recycling drives, green eating
traditional & green construction, farming organic, guest speakers/mentors
life coaches, online business courses, video lectures, conferences
home made spa products, yoga/pilates/meditation, culinary training,
camping, exchange programs with other countries, hotel visits & more health fairs, cycling
TIMELINE
50 new applicants each year.
On the 2nd year, they carry on working in a fully functional retreat.
3rd year, they are given a retreat to run as a group.
4th year, they make that retreat profitable.
5th year, option to open their own individual franchise or stay on at group retreat.
6th year, option to become a mentor.

Several are concerned about unemployment & harassment. We will work with the groups to provide training, mobilize residents to participate & assess the program's success.

We’ve generated in-kind donations for projects, received gifts such as properties to use & aim to be self funding within 5 to 7 years by sales of retreat visits, products & services.
EVALUATION
50 apprentices will be recruited to join the project. At the end of the program each one will be able to support themselves & enhance the life of their family.
